The Secret Circle: The Captive by L.J. Smith
I must warn you before you start this book, make sure you have both parts
if you purchase it in it's ominbus form! Half of this book is in the first
ominbus and the second half (you guessed it), is in the second. I had a hard time waiting about a week for the second book to read! It is really good book and shows what lengths Cassie will go to to protect her best friend and the boy she loves.
The Secret Circle: The Initiation by L.J. Smith
The Secret Circle: The Initiation by L.J. Smith is a great read! Smith reals
you in and leaves you wanting more! This is a story of summer love at first sight. As with most love stories there are complications that threaten to keep the two lovers apart. I would recommend this book even if you do
not believe in witchcraft.
Spellbinder by L.J. Smith
I would recommend Spellbinder, though it is a book about witches not vampires. Blaise likes to use human boys as toys and Thea is her complete opposite. I thought it was very romantic and loved the ending! It is a great book and I had a hard time
putting it down!
Daughters of Darkness by L.J. Smith
Daughters of Darkness by L.J. Smith. The second in the Night World Series by L.J. Smith, she introduces you to
many new characters and you begin to wonder how it is connected to the first
story. But, then she brings in Ash from the Secret Vampire and mentions James
and Poppy. I do like that it is a new twist with the same rules as the first
book. Romantic and suspenseful at the same time with a few twists. I would recommend this book to those who liked the Twilight books by Stephanie Meyer.
Great Read!
Secret Vampire by L.J. Smith
The Night World isn’t a place. It’s the world of vampires, witches, and shapeshifters who live in the human world—by their own rules. And the first two rules of the Night World are simple: 1) Never tell any human about its existence, and 2) Never fall in love with a human. Spunky, sassy Poppy has always been in the best of health. Until today, when she discovers that she has a rare disease, and only weeks to live. James, her best friend, and the coolest boy at school, is confronted with a frightening decision. He can make Poppy a vampire like him, or he can let her die. But telling Poppy about the Night World is almost as dangerous as letting her die of a human disease, for he’s broken both of the Night World’s rules, and fallen in love with her.
I loved this book! The characters and the plot made it very appealing. I
will read it again when I finish the whole Night World Series!
You can get the first three books in the Night World Series bound into one edition. This makes it friendly on the wallet and the shelves!

Midnight Sun (Partial Draft) by Stephanie Meyer
It is another version of Twilight but from Edward Cullen's point of view. I, like many others hope that Stephanie will continue her work on this story. It just may be even better than Twilight!

VAMPIRE VINEYARDS 2005 Merlot – Wine of the Week!
When the night is dark but the moon’s full and strange creatures roam the streets it must be Halloween! Here’s The Wine Experience with a wine of the week to greet the night, Vampire Vineyards Merlot.
What better than a deep, ruby red that just oozes luscious and warm flavor as it crosses your lips than this timely treat from Paso Robles.
Vampire Vineyards Merlot is no Halloween trick either but a down to earth serious Merlot. It’s long on black cherry and blueberry flavor with the ghostly presence of toasty oak, and packed with the added punch of Cabernet and Zinfandel blended in.
You don’t need Halloween as the excuse to enjoy Vampire Merlot. For ten bucks a bottle its great any day you’re ready for a sip… or a bite. And you don’t have to wait for sundown either.
Vampire Vineyards Merlot from Paso Robles is a wine of the week you can sink your teeth into!

The World of the Mortal Instruments
They call themselves Shadowhunters.
The Shadowhunters obey the laws set down in the Gray Book, given to them by the angel: their mandate is to protect our world from the interdimensional parasites they call demons, who travel from world to world, razing and destroying everything in their path. Theirs is also the task of keeping the peace among the warring Downworlders: the human-demon crossbreeds we know as warlocks, vampires, werewolves, and faeries.
In their duties they are aided by the mysterious Silent Brothers. Their lips and eyes sewn shut, the Silent Brothers rule over the City of Bones, the necropolis below the streets of Manhattan that holds the dead bodies of slain Shadowhunters. The Silent Brothers keep the archival records of ever Shadowhunter ever born. They also watch over the Mortal Instruments, the three divine objects the Angel Raziel gave to his children. One is a sword. One is a mirror. And the last is a cup.
For a thousand years, the Nephilim have protected the Mortal Instruments. But that was before the Uprising, the civil war that almost tore the Shadowhunters' secret world apart. Though Valentine, the Shadowhunter who started the war, is long dead, the wounds it left behind have never healed.
Fifteen years have passed since the Uprising. It's August in New York; the streets blistering with heat. Rumors run rampant through Downworld that Valentine is back, at the head of an army of Forsaken warriors.
And the Mortal Cup has gone missing...
How many books are there in the Mortal Instruments
trilogy?
There are three. The title of the trilogy itself is The
Mortal Instruments: the first book is called City of Bones, the second is called
City of Ashes, the third, City of Glass.
