Writing Inspiration for... Akiva

I spent about 12 hours yesterday editing the first several chapters of my book Seduced by the Pack by E.M. Belacourt. I'm feeling really good with what I have reworked so far and plan on working on more today.

Here's a picture of my writing inspiration for my Nephilim character, Akiva that was previously named Valerian. Akiva is a main character in my book and one of Danarius Everheart's love interests.

The hottie is actually a young Travis Fimmel who now stars in Vikings and is almost unrecognizable from this Calvin Klein model.

What I'm Listening to... Elements by Lindsey Stirling

Today's musical inspiration comes from Lindsey Stirling. It is called Elements and I absolutely love her violin playing and graceful movements throughout this video which also is a teaser for the TV series Dracula. The main character Danarius Everheart, in my book Seduced by the Pack (not yet published) also plays the violin and I imagine she would look like Lindsey while playing. Enjoy!

Beta Readers

I finished my book tentatively titled "Seduced by the Pack" about a month ago. I have given it over to my beta readers for suggestions before I go on the next step of shopping for a literary agent. I am excited and anxious to hear feedback on my writing. Wish me luck!

My 2nd Book in progress as a new writer

Well, I finished writing my first book last month, a paranormal romance. It is told only from the main characters point of view in first person. After getting halfway through the first round of editing on it, I came up with another book idea.

So, I am now working on writing book 2, which is an alternate version of my first book.

Why, you may ask? Because my story has so many people that I have decided to split it up a bit and concentrate on the main characters. I don't want the reader to get confused by the complexity of my story that they can't enjoy it.

The new version is broader and from multiple characters points of view and I hope a bit more interesting and relatable.

I 'm still not ready to even commit to a blurb for either story because as I write and edit I come up with even greater ideas.

So for now, I am off to spend a day at the beach with my characters, Rogue and Valentino.
